Access and Inclusion Statement

Wild Gravel is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming event where people of all abilities can participate, connect and enjoy the unique landscapes of the Stirling Range (Koi Kyeunu-ruff).

The event has proudly welcomed handcyclists each year and works closely with participants to understand and support individual access requirements wherever possible.

Accessible facilities available during the event include:

  • Accessible toilets at the Event Village and Mt Trio.
  • Accessible accommodation options available locally, including rooms at the Gnowangerup Caravan Park and Stirling Range Retreat.
  • Accessible parking areas located as close as practical to event facilities.
  • Rest areas and shaded spaces within the Event Village.
  • Assistance from event staff and volunteers upon request.

Wild Gravel aims to cater for a wide range of dietary requirements. A variety of food vendors attend the event each year, and information on available food options can be provided once vendors are confirmed.

Participants, volunteers and spectators with mobility, sensory, communication or other accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact the Wild Gravel team prior to the event. Early conversations help ensure appropriate support can be arranged and that visitors can make informed decisions about travel, accommodation and participation.

Support persons, carers and companions are welcome at the event.

As an outdoor adventure event held within a regional and natural environment, some areas of Wild Gravel include uneven surfaces, gravel roads, trails and terrain that may present challenges for some mobility devices or visitors. The Wild Gravel team is committed to providing accurate information about event locations and facilities and encourages anyone with accessibility questions to get in touch before attending.
